As Director of Operations, Scott schedules and coordinates the activity of our field employees. He organizes the workforce staffing for all of Bouma’s jobs in Western Michigan and provides oversight to ensure manpower needs are met. Scott regularly makes site visits to ensure work is performed in a safe and timely manner that follows project specifications.
Scott began his construction career in residential interior finishing before launching into the commercial interior finishing trade in 2003. He has completed coursework in both Construction Business Management and Architectural Design. He holds the following certifications: OSHA 10, scaffold, crane, rigging, signaling, lifts, and Basic Life Support (BLS). He is licensed by the State of Michigan as a medical first responder. In his spare time, he serves with the Courtland Fire Department as an on-call volunteer firefighter, is an avid woodworker, and enjoys spending time with his wife and two children.
